Am I Ready to Code?

Use this checklist after completing Setup. Every item must be green before writing any feature code.

✅ Team registration

Every teammate accepted the GitHub Classroom invitation
One student created the team with the exact teacher-defined name
Other students joined that same team
A repository named after your team exists at github.com/Estia-1a/pgi-2026-<team>

✅ Environment

Repository cloned locally (no accents or spaces in the path)
VS Code opened on the cloned folder
Recommended extensions installed (C/C++, CMake, CMake Tools, GitHub Pull Requests)
gcc available — verify: gcc --version prints a version number
CMake available — verify: cmake --version prints a version number
The Correct compiler selected in VS Code (CMake: Select a Kit → select a GCC/MinGW kit)

✅ Libraries

the correct estia-image library for my architecture installed directly in the project root (estia-image/include/ and estia-image/lib/ exist)
getopt library installed (getopt/include/ and getopt/lib/ exist)
Running cmake -B build in the project root completes without errors

✅ First build

cmake --build build succeeds
./build/freud.exe --debug -f images/input/image.jpeg -c helloworld prints hello world

✅ GitHub workflows

create-issues workflow enabled (with the onboarding script bash validconfig.sh --activate-workflowsor manually renamed and pushed)
Issues loaded into your repository (the create-issues workflow run from the actions tab and completed)
Milestones visible in your repository under Issues → Milestones
At least one issue open and assigned

✅ Git cycle works

Your git is configured with your name and email (git config user.name and git config user.email show correct values)
You can make a change, git commit, and git push without errors
Your teammates can git pull and see your changes
GitHub Actions triggered after your push (visible under the Actions tab)
